Point & Flex Circus is an award winning Australian contemporary circus and movement based ensemble. We create new, engaging and innovative work, and promote a delicately shaped display of strength, creativity and skill.
We create work for touring, festivals and corporate clients, in both roving and stage formats. Formed in 2013, the company promotes collaborative work, with a focus on innovation, and the integration of musical and dance components into our performances. Point & Flex Circus continues to evolve and grow in our pursuit of the presentation of extraordinary skills in extraordinary new ways. |

Marina Gellmann
Marina has been involved with circus for over 14 years as a performer, artist and trainer. She first started circus classes at age 5, and entered the Performance Troupe in 2010. Marina has been involved in a diverse range of performances, such as WOW! (2010), Upside Down & Inside Out (2011), Dead End (2013), and Nest (Cirkidz, 2013). Marina specialises in juggling, sideshow, diabolo, hat manipulation, trampoline, pyramids and physical theatre / contemporary dance. She has performed roving and stage gigs across the state, in various schools and at a range of professional events and festivals.

Marcela ScheunerARTIST
23 Years Old Marcela is a dynamic young circus professional with over 15 years of experience in independent and ensemble performance. At the age of 8 she joined Australia’s leading youth Circus, The Flying Fruit Flies. During her ten years with the Fruit Flies she toured and performed many shows. In addition to performing onstage, she also worked backstage in a variety of roles such as lighting/sounds technician and stage manager. After graduating, in 2015 she was chosen to participate in Circus Oz’s “Strong Women” project, collaborating to develop new work and since then, Marcela has been a full-time professional circus performer. She is a founding member of ‘Outside the Lines Circus’, who have successfully completed two seasons of their show ATTIC and is now a new member of Point & Flex Circus as part of the new show, BOSS SQUAD.

Lisa GoldsworthyARTIST
23 Years Old Lisa has been involved in circus for over 12 years, and has performed in various productions including Up In Smoke (2006), Connected (2007/08), Freaky (2009), WOW! (2010), Upside Down & Inside Out (2011), Dead End (2013), Almost 69 (2013), Ode to Nonsense (2013) and Nest (2013). In 2012, Lisa was selected as one of twelve emerging artists to participate in the Catapult Youth Circus Festival’s Emerging Artist Program, working collaboratively with directors and performers. Involved in countless roving and stage performances, Lisa specialises in hula hoop, cloud swing, group club passing, duo acrobatics and basing.

Dylan Phillips
Dylan has been involved in circus for 8 years, and an integral member of the Performance Troupe since he was 12. He has been involved in various performances including The Magic Flute (2011), The Special One (2013), Ode To Nonsense (2013), and Nest (2013). Dylan is a gifted unicyclist, duo-acrobat, juggler and all round flyer, and alongside stage and roving performances, He often appears on television spots. Despite his age, Dylan has commited himself to training and performance opportunities, and is a highly respected performer and collaborator. He is also a keen guitarist.

Taylor DawsonARTIST
21 Years Old Taylor has been involved with circus for over 14 years, starting classes at the tender age of 6. Involved in the Cirkidz Performance Troupe for a number of years, she performed in Connected (2007), Freaky (2009), WOW! (2010), Dead End (2013), and Nest (2013). Involved in various roving and performance opportunities, Taylor specialises in trapeze, lyra, hula hoop, tumbling, contact, hat manipulation and contortion. She is currently working and training, building her skill set, and has proven herself to be a passionate, dedicated and well rounded performer. Indeed, she has devoted her childhood to training and touring opportunities.

Chris Sampson

Chris has been involved in circus for over 14 years, and has been in the Performance Troupe since 2010. He has performed in a variety of productions such as Upside Down & Inside Out (2011), Dead End (2013), and Nest (2013). In 2015, he was the assistant director of Cirkidz's major production, We, the Unseen. Chris is trained in group juggling and balance, and has assisted in the creation of work for both professional and personal use. While still trained in circus, he has pursued his passion for filmmaking, and placed as a finalist in the UniSA Aspiring Filmmaker’s Competition in 2012. Chris is currently studying film interstate at university, and intends to pursue a career in the cinematic arts.

Jordan has been involved in circus for nearly a decade, and was a member of the Cirkidz Performance Troupe for three years. He has performed in a range of productions in both roving and stage formats, and was a performer in Upside Down & Inside Out (2011), and in Cirkidz' major production, Nest, in 2013. While he is currently attending NICA, building his strength and skill set, he consistently shows a passion, dedication and love for the art form. A highly gifted diaboloist. Jordan is a seasoned and well rounded artist and individual. His intellect and humour have helped him emerge as a highly sought after performer and collaborator, and has shown himself to be a creative, hardworking and innovative artist.
